  • No materials collected for recycling in Carlisle are being stockpiled. Instead, all the paper, glass and tins you put in your Greenbox along with the plastic and cardboard you put in your Greenbags is recycled into products that are sold throughout the world.
  • Because you sort these recyclables before they are collected, the quality of material collected for recycling here in Carlisle is of the highest standard.  Rinsing your tins, glass bottles and jars and squashing your waste where possible also helps to ensure a high quality product.
