Council Tax

Council Tax is a charge made by the Council in order to part fund the many services that it provides to the community.

Most dwellings are subject to Council Tax. There is one bill per dwelling, whether it is a house, bungalow, flat, maisonette or mobile home, and whether it is owned or rented.

Within the amount of Council Tax is also provision for services provided by Cumbria County Council and the Police.
